Our First Aid Courses
Private Bookings
If you have a group of people or employees that require first aid training we can tailor a course to your specific requirements. We can either come to you or hold the first aid course at one of our chosen training venues. Private courses have the added bonus of substantially reducing your training costs and will ensure that first aid training is specific to your particular environment.
Open Courses
We hold a number of open courses across the year. Check out our course dates below or look at our Course Diary page. If your preferred course isn't listed please contact us.
Payment is usually required in advance using a bank card. If you pay in advance you will get an 8% discount on the course fee. If you prefer you can pay on invoice with a cheque or BACS and not receive the 8% discount.

Emergency First Aid for the Workplace (EFAW)
This course is designed to give a good basic knowledge of first aid. It qualifies an individual to HSE recommendations in a low risk environment.
Suitable for: Nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid.
Duration: Minimum of 6 hours.

First Aid at Work (FAW)
This is the HSE standard First Aid course for the workplace.
Suitable for: Any Workplace (Mandatory for larger and higher risk workplaces).
Duration: 18 hours over 3 days. Starting 1st October.

First Aid at Work Requalification
The course includes an update of first aid knowledge and skills and a revision of workplace requirements.
Suitable for: This course is for people wishing to renew a valid first aid at work certificate.

Outdoor First Aid
This course meets the requirements for instructors with NGB awards including ML & SPA. It is also suitable for persons working in remote and outdoor environments.
Suitable for: Outdoor instructors and outdoor enthusiasts, Sports coaches.
Duration: 16 hours

First Aid Paediatric Courses
This meets the criteria for effective paediatric training set out in the Early Year Foundation Stage Practice Guidance. The course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving young children.
Suitable for: This course is for people working with younger children - those up to eight years old .
Duration: Minimum 12 hours.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

This yearly update is mandatory for doctors' surgeries and professions allied to medicine.Healthcare professionals and those working in a healthcare setting are expected to be proficient in CPR . Healthcare professionals with a duty to respond to paediatric emergencies can also be trained in their specific protocols.
Suitable for: This short resuscitation course is essential for all state registered healthcare professionals and others working in a healthcare setting.
Duration: Minimum 3 hours
